White Crane Qigong I

This is a 2-day workshop that is ideal for weekends (15 hours) White Crane Qigong (known as Bai He Qigong) is a classical Daoist Qigong system that directly evolved from the crane dance that was performed in ancient China as a fertility and healing ceremony by the Chinese shamans. Over the centuries it evolved into a sophisticated system of managing the qi for the prevention and correction of disease patterns from within the Chinese medical model. It is also known to strengthen the body, improve perceptive skills, prolong life and help manifest latent gifts. In this workshop students will learn the form known as Bai He San Yuan Zhen Qigong (White Crane 3 Primordial Precious Qigong). This set develops the awareness of Qi and cultivates the 3 treasures: Jing (vital essence), Qi (psychophysical energy) and Shen (heart/mind known as spirit).

Tuina Organ Tonification

In this 2-day workshop students learn a full body protocol for tonifying organ deficiency utilizing Tuina methods, acupoints, and focused breathing. Emphasis is on gentle oscillating and rubbing techniques used to tonify the lungs, spleen and kidneys. These are the primary organs for generating Qi and Xue (blood) in the body according to Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. Qigong exercises and Traditional Chinese Medical theory will be included.

TCM Theory and Intro to Tonic Herbs 1 & 2

Each of these 2-day workshop students learn the fundamentals of Chinese Medical Theory as it applies to the practice of Tuina and Tonic Herbs. The first part of each day is spent on fundamental theory, patterns of disharmony and how they arise. The second half is spent on developing a tonic herbal repertory of knowledge and an understanding of it's use. In part II students begin exploring differentiation of patterns and learn to research cases.

Tuina Orthopedics for the Cervical and Lumbar Spine

In this workshop students learn protocols for the treatment of whiplash, cervical sprain and strain, lumbar sprain and strain, and chronic back conditions. Passive joint traction and micro-manipulation of vertebral fixations from the bone setting school will be taught. Uses of liniments and plasters will also be taught. Emphasis of treatment will be on activating the Qi and Xue (Blood), removing stasis, harmonizing the channels, and restoring functional anatomy. As always, Qigong and TCM Theory will be included.
